Healing: Mind | Body | Soul
Reiki has been around since the early 20th century. It is an energy healing method rooted in ancient Japanese culture. Reiki uses the universal life force energy which is channeled through the practitioner directly into different areas of the body that have imbalances and energy blocks. The practitioner will channel the healing energy to clear out these energy blocks and balance your energy which will lead to improving your overall health.
The great thing about Reiki is it is a very relaxing and noninvasive energetic therapy that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated after just one session.
Our Reiki Master can also help you to release your trapped emotions. This allows you to let go of old emotions that have become trapped and can create physical symptoms of pain as well as overwhelming emotions and stress.

What to Expect During a Reiki Session?
Reiki sessions in our Spa take place in an environment that is catered towards deep relaxation. Before each session the Reiki practitioner or master will ensure that the room is cleansed energetically.
Our qualified reiki practitioner will start face to face with you to set expectations for the session and create a treatment plan tailored to you. You may describe any ailments and/or circumstances that you need help with. You’ll then lay down on the treatment table fully clothed as relaxing music plays. As the session progresses you’ll find yourself settling into a deeply relaxing and healing state.
At Safe Haven we offer three different types of Reiki sessions:
We have three types of Reiki Treatment: Healing Session, Crystal Therapy, and Quantum Light Healing Session
Deep Healing Reiki Session:
We all have moments in our lives where we feel stuck. Whether it is because of the past or present, deep down inside you know that something isn’t right. With the Deep Healing Reiki Treatment we’ll focus on creating a state of healing by infusing relaxation into stagnant energy—literally breaking up any negative beliefs and/or emotions which may hold you back so they are no longer there to hinder progress towards happiness with life itself.
We are here to help you cleanse your body and release any trapped emotions. This method of reiki therapy uses crystals, intuition, and energy transfer together to aide you in processing past experiences as well as ways forward in life! If other methods fail then this one might be just what’s needed to help you access areas energetically and free energy blocks.
The Emotional Release is a powerful way to let go of trapped emotions and move on in life. Let our wellness professionals help you identify what’s been holding back your happiness, and explore ways of releasing those negative feelings through crystal therapy.
Quantum Light Healing:
During this reiki treatment, the session will begin by targeting and then releasing the negative beliefs that create your current experiences of fear, anxiety, or stress. We have created a special method to find those pesky little pieces that are hiding deep within you–those fears about what could go wrong in any given situation–and release them! After tuning into what you’re holding on to, we will use light language to infuse new healing energies into specific areas of the body which show imbalance. This is done with light and reiki energy .
If I have a Health Condition can Reiki Replace Going to the Doctor?
Reiki is an invaluable service and we have seen it help many people to improve their quality of life. However with that being said, Reiki is not a substitute for conventional medicine; rather, it’s a “complementary” health therapy that can be used to manage symptoms in addition to other types of treatment. It’s a therapy that’s safe and mild for even the most delicate patients.
Is Reiki a Religion?
Reiki is not a religion. Professional reiki practitioners, masters, and clients come from all walks of life, including secular lifestyles. Receiving reiki is not supposed to cause a disruption in or influence a person’s spiritual or religious views. We welcome all to practice reiki with us.
What is a Reiki Master?
A reiki master is an individual who has completed special training and demonstrated the highest level of reiki, only after completing reiki training levels 1, 2, and 3. They use their hands to channel energy into the body to help promote healing. Reiki masters are often able to help people with a wide range of issues, from pain relief to reducing stress and anxiety.
Is a Reiki Practitioner Different from a Master?
Generally, A Reiki practitioner is someone that has only completed level 1 and 2 of reiki training, but they can still perform reiki therapy. After reiki practitioners complete level 2 Reiki training it takes a minimum of 2 years before the practitioner is eligible to complete level 3 and go on to become a Reiki master.
History of Reiki and its Founder.
In the early 20th century, a Japanese man named Mikao Usui developed and practiced reiki. Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki natural healing system recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony which are nearly universal across all cultures.
Mikao recommends you live by four guiding principles when doing any kind effort for others: “Love Which Draws Forth Light,” kindness in word or deed; acceptance without reserve–even if someone is very different from yourself, and gratitude no matter how little things have been given already.”
You may find people referring to Reiki as “Usui Reiki” and this is the same thing.
What is the Meaning of the Japanese Word Reiki?
The word comes from two parts: they are Japanese words: “Rei,” which means universal and translates to life force energy; and “ki” is an old term for natural energies or forces within nature that we cannot see but may feel with our bodies.”
Risks and Side Effects of Reiki Therapy
In short, there are no major risks. Reiki does not have any negative effects largely because of its noninvasive nature. Our practitioners report that clients typically feel a deep relaxation from a typical reiki session. You can find lots of people who claim to offer reiki treatments but actually offer sham reiki. We do not recommend you find the cheapest distance healing guru on the internet and trust them with your healing for a reiki practice. We only hire the best of the best and our reiki masters adhere to an ethics code of practice.
Reiki is a complementary treatment, which means you use it along with proven traditional medical treatments. It doesn’t cure or get rid of any health conditions by itself, but research shows that it can significantly improve many conditions when paired with traditional medical care or therapeutic techniques. Many Reiki practitioners recommend that this is a complementary and alternative medicine.
Has There Been any Medical Research done on Reiki?
The debate on how best to study integrative therapies such as Reiki is gaining steam, but research into this field has only just begun. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) a subset of the National Institutes of Health or (NIH) has five separate studies, all with a control group, to study how this therapy can benefit people with diabetes, advanced AIDS diseases (like wasting syndrome or weakened immune systems due to too many infections over time which makes them very susceptible to cancers), prostate cancer, stress, and fibromyalgia.

Published investigations have looked at the influence of Reiki on stress hormones, blood pressure, heart rate, and immune reactivity, as well as subjective feelings of anxiety, pain, and sadness. The studies to date are typically modest in scale, with some researchers disagreeing on how to apply science to the energy involved in Reiki. Nonetheless, there is evidence that Reiki may help to decrease anxiety and reduce pain, as well as support relaxation, reduce fatigue, and increase general wellbeing. It is a wonderful complementary therapy that should be included.
Is Reiki Covered by Health Insurance?
