BodyTalk Therapy Introduction

What if we told you that your brain talks to itself every day without your awareness? Well, it does! And through our daily experiences, we encounter emotions and create subconscious beliefs called patterns. These patterns affect us throughout our entire lives.

What is BodyTalk?

Body Talk is an integrative approach using energy principles. The body communicates through energetic circuitry—each cell in the body communicates with every other cell. This intricate ecosystem balances biological and physiological functions with emotional and mental interaction with environmental and hereditary and gene-related restrictions.

When a body is at its best optimal level, each system, atom, and cell is in constant communication with each other at all times. At some point in our lives, these lines of communication can be compromised, which can lead to a decline in physical, emotional, and/or mental health.

The Body Talk System

Did you know that there are Three Brain complexes in the body?

The BodyTalk System re-synchronizes and re-aligns. This allows the body to return to its natural function, effectively responding to injury and illness – as nature intended.

Science’s longtime focus on the study of the Head Brain has tended to blind us to the critical importance of the other brains.

Due to an incorrect interpretation of its functions, the Head Brain has taken on tasks that are unnatural, which keeps our Head Brain in a state of total stress overload as it attempts to perform duties it is not designed to do.

Head Brain

This is the organ inside the head that controls all the body functions of a human being. Made up of billions of nerve cells. Head Brain normal functions are:

  • It acts as the primary receptor for the five physical senses in the body.
  • It runs the autonomic nervous system and tracks everything that happens.
  • It helps process problems encountered during life and find a solution for them.
  • It runs the many physiological programs of the bodymind.
  • It has the tendency to take over the functions of the other two brains when they are not performing their jobs due to a lack of awareness.

Heart Brain

In 1991, Armour, discovered that the heart has its “little brain” or “intrinsic cardiac nervous system.” This “heart brain” is composed of approximately 40,000 neurons that are alike neurons in the brain, meaning that the heart has its own nervous system. Heart Brain normal functions, which are:

  • It controls moods and wellbeing, producing almost 90% of the dopamine used by the body.
  • It supports a harmonious interface between every person and the components of their environment.
  • It stabilizes the interaction of the three brains by maintaining a well-functioning mind.
  • It maintains the sensuality of bodily function, harmonizing sexual reproduction by reducing any primitive negative aspects of sexuality created by the nervous system and reptilian brain.
  • Heart Brain imbalance can lead to chronic depression, bipolar disorder, self-destructive, self-sabotaging and/or deviant behaviors, addiction, ADHD, fatigue, low libido, and more.

Gut Brain

Scientists call this little brain the enteric nervous system (ENS). Hidden between the walls of the digestive system, this “gut brain” is revolutionizing medicine’s understanding of the links between digestion, mood, health, and even the way you think. Gut Brain’s normal functions are:

  • It facilitates the correct absorption of nutrients.
  • It is the command center of the immune system and the microbiome.
  • It is a neuro-hormonal and chemical warehouse, applying every class of neurotransmitter located in the head brain, including serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, nitric oxide, and glutamate.
  • It produces 95 percent of the serotonin in the body; serotonin regulates mood, social behavior, libido, sleep, memory, and learning.
  • Gut Brain imbalance may lead to all types of bowel digestive disorders, poor digestion and nutrient assimilation, immune system imbalances, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, autism, IBS, and more.

    The Body Talk Philosophy

According to BodyTalk KC, “The term ‘innate intelligence’ refers to the inner consciousness in the body, the force that keeps our body healthy and harmonious.” BodyTalk is a combination of orthodox components, traditional, and alternative medicine.

Latest studies show that the body and mind is a holistic, interrelated system that involves hundreds of physical and bio-energetic systems that interact continuously to sustain life. Therefore, maintaining balanced communications between these systems is vital to anyone who aims to enjoy good health and well-being.

The main idea of the Body Talk System is the body’s natural healing response to environmental influences. That all disease found within the body is reflected in brain functions.

What happens in a BodyTalk session?

BodyTalk helps communicate innate wisdom to the body through neuro-muscle bio-feedback. While you relax and stay comfortable on a treatment table, your practitioner will gently use parts of your body to establish neuromuscular biofeedback to determine your unique priorities.

This will be quick and easy, determining which communication circuits have been compromised and in which order these lines of communication need to be repaired for the fastest possible healing process.

Once the body talk-certified practitioner has established the issues to be addressed, a three-pronged tapping procedure is introduced. This starts up a standing wave that urges the brain to “fix” the faulty area; the heart to “store” the repair, and the gut to “integrate” the corrections. Your bodymind remembers the BodyTalk sessions it receives, and your healing process will continue with each additional session.
